Wesley Curry II
The Four Handed Part
Wesley Curry II has been making short films for three years. The Four Handed Part was his first short film and was played in London at an Art Gallery Film Festival (Filmmakers Film Festival). Another of his films was accepted after submission to the Pinewoods Studio's First Time Filmmakers Festival.
Wesley's films tend to be surreal, or train of thought "stories", with some showing his dry sense of wit.

Last Call

Shot in two true single takes, filmed simultaneously in two different parts of a city, Last Call, is a real time feature presented in split screen showcasing both ends of a wrong number phone call that has the potential to save a life.
Last Call follows a suicidal alcoholic on the anniversary of his son’s death. When he attempts to call a crisis hotline, a misdial connects him with a single mother working as the night janitor at a local community college. The split screen feature showcases both characters in real-time as they navigate a life-changing conversation.

The story centers on a boy who still remembers what life used to be like before everything turned to ice – a childhood of birthday parties and movies and after-school cartoons. As Jem clings to his childhood, the responsibility for their lives falls to Cody, the older brother. He stays awake each night, rifle in hand, making sure they survive to see the next morning.
This is a film about a younger brother forced to grow up faster than he wants to, and an older brother who will do anything to protect the brother he loves.
