Pause the Applause

By:Alex Phuong

Before offering
Awards and accolades,
Pause for a moment,
And take a breath.
Remember
The subjective nature
Of reality.
Karma might imply
Comeuppance,
Yet adherence
To the certain
Might not pertain
To a newfound
Way to live,
So live
With eternal vigilance
Because the false
And the true
Are not as solid
As black and white,
While denizens
Do what they do
As they play their roles
And perform their parts
