Since moving to Los Angeles he’s performed in the house band for Kanye West’s Sunday Service and also collaborated in sessions with industry leaders including Babyface and Tom Misch. The debut Floyd Fuji EP Black Pontiac is just beginning to define Thornton’s sound. It evokes the nostalgia of home. The crackle of a worn-in vinyl record meets a vision set firmly on the future.
